Hotel - General

What are the check-in and check-out times?

We have check-in from 15.30 and check-out at 11.00.

Can we check in earlier or check out later?

Early check-in is subject to availability. Late check-out can be arranged for an additional fee.

What do you do when you arrive when the reception is unmanned?

Contact the reception in advance and they will help you with the check-in even if the reception is not staffed when you arrive at the hotel. During the summer, the reception is staffed around the clock.

Is breakfast included in the booking?

Breakfast is included in the price when you stay at the hotel. For guests staying in camping cabins, at the campsite or in the hostel, breakfast can be purchased for SEK 179/person.

Do you have free Wi-Fi in the rooms?

Yes, we have a free Wi-Fi for our hotel guests.

Is parking available, and is it included?

Yes, free parking is included for hotel guests.

Do you have electric car chargers?

Yes, we have electric car chargers in our carport. Charging is done through the "Pair Recharge" app, more information can be found at the charger.

Are there rooms with air conditioning?

Yes, all our hotel rooms have individual air conditioning.

Is it possible to add an extra bed or a cot/cot to the room?

Yes, this can be added for 130 SEK for the entire stay.

Are the rooms non-smoking?

Yes, the entire hotel is non-smoking.

Are there handicap accessible rooms?

All our rooms and facilities can be reached in wheelchairs, we also have some specific rooms that are handicap friendly, so please contact us before booking for more information or to find out if that particular room is available for the desired period!

What happens if I forget something in my room?

The reception will contact you if anything has been left in the room after your departure. Should you discover that you have forgotten something before we have had time to contact us, you are very welcome to contact the reception and we will help you further.

If you are unable to come by the hotel to pick up what is left, you as a guest are responsible for arranging and paying for the shipping. The reception will make sure to pack the item carefully and send it with the consignment note you provide.

Is there a mini-fridge or minibar in the room?

No, unfortunately this does not exist.

Do you have child-friendly rooms or family rooms?

All our rooms are child-friendly and adapted for a comfortable stay for the whole family. For those who want a little more space, we also offer family rooms, which are more spacious than our standard rooms.

What do I do with cleaning during my stay?

For those who stay more than one night with us, we offer an overhaul of the room after the first night. In this case, you can order it at the reception before 20:00 on the day of arrival.


If you think it is not necessary, we do not clean unnecessarily. We thus save both water and cleaning agents – resources that we can instead spend on sustainable investments. However, we check on your room every day to make sure that both you and the room are well.

What is the age limit for booking a room?

You need to be 18 years old to book a room with us.

Do you offer spa on the hotel grounds such as pool, gym or sauna?

 Our gym and sauna are always available for our hotel guests. We also have a hot tub that can only be booked for special accommodation packages.

Is there a games room or playground at the hotel or on the grounds?

Yes, of course! The hotel has a nice playroom where children can play and have fun in a safe and inviting environment.

In our area there is also an outdoor playground, perfect for running and playing in the fresh air. There is plenty of space for play and activity for our younger guests.

Can we store luggage before check-in or after check-out?

Yes, we have a locked luggage room where you can drop off your bags during the day.

Do you have transport or shuttle to Astrid Lindgren's World?

No, unfortunately not.

 

Cabins

What is included in the cottage - furniture, bed linen and towels?

Duvets and pillows are available, bed linen and towels are not included but can be rented in connection with the booking. The cottage is also equipped with a kitchenette, refrigerator with freezer compartment, crockery/cutlery for 6 people, coffee maker etc.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

We have check-in from 15.30 and check-out at 11.00. This takes place at the hotel reception.

Can we check in earlier or check out later?

Early check-in is subject to availability. Late check-out can be arranged for an additional fee.

Are there cooking facilities or kitchens in the cottages?

The cottage is equipped with a kitchenette.

Are the cabins pet friendly?

Yes, we do have cabins that are pet friendly.

Can you grill outside the cottage, for example with a barbecue?

How and where should the garbage be sorted?

In close proximity to the holiday village there is an environmental station where you can easily sort your waste. Here you can leave everything from cardboard and plastic to glass and metal – all to make it easier to recycle and protect the environment. By using the recycling station, we help to keep the area clean and contribute to a sustainable future.

Is there a cleaning service during my stay?

The guest cleans the cottage themselves withcleaning supplies that are available in the cottage, but final cleaning can be purchased in connection with the booking for those who want a smoother departure.

How far is it from the holiday village to the reception and restaurant?

 

Is there breakfast delivery to the cottage?

No, unfortunately, but you are welcome to buy breakfast or rolls in our restaurant.

How do the security procedures work? (e.g. smoke detector)?

There are smoke alarms in every cottage.

Is there Wi-Fi in the holiday village?

Yes, we have Wi-Fi in the entire area.

 

Camping

What facilities are available in the service building at the campsite?

In our newly renovated fresh service building you will find, among other things, toilets, showers, kitchen and laundry facilities. When checking in at the hotel reception, our guests receive a shower card that is preloaded with SEK 100 that is used to gain access to the showers or the washroom. The remaining facilities in the service building are free of charge. At check-out, only the amount spent by the guest will be charged. It is always possible to read the currently used amount with the help of the reader in the service building, and the reception is of course happy to help with reading and possibly refilling the shower card.

Are there showers and toilets around the clock?

Yes, our service house is open around the clock.

Is electricity included at the campsite?

Yes, electricity is included in the price of the campsite when you choose an electricity pitch.

Do you have washing up and washing facilities for camping guests?

Yes, this is available in our service building.

Is it possible to order wood for the fireplace?

There should always be wood by the fireplace, if it runs out, please let us know at the reception and we will solve it.

Are there tent pitches with shade/trees?

Yes, there is.

Can we pre-book a campsite with extra space?

No, unfortunately not.

Is there a playground or activities for children at the campsite?

The area has several fun activities for children of all ages. Here they can play freely in our playground, try their putting skills on the mini golf course or cool off in the water playground on hot days. Everything is designed to give the children a safe and fun time while the family can enjoy their stay at the campsite.

What do you do if the campsite is full?

If the campsite is full on your desired dates, you can sign up for the waiting list directly on our booking page. You will then receive an email if a place becomes available.

How do you handle waste and recycling for the campsite?

Restaurant

What are the opening hours of the restaurant?

Opening hours vary with the season.

Summer season:

Breakfast: 7.00-10.00

Lunch: Monday-Friday 11.30-13.30

Dinner: 17.00-21.30, the dinner is divided into three sittings starting at 17.00, 18.30 and 20.00.

Winter season:

Breakfast: Monday-Friday 6.30-9.30 Saturday-Sunday 7.00-10.00

Lunch: Monday-Friday 11.30-14.00

Dinner: Monday-Thursday 17.00-20.00

Do we need to book a table in advance?

No, no table reservation is required for either lunch or dinner. However, we recommend booking a time for dinner when it gets full quickly.

Are there special diet options? (vegetarian, gluten-free etc?)

Yes, we have food to suit everyone. Talk to our staff in the restaurant and they will help you.

Do you serve dinner every day?

During the summer, we serve dinner every day in the restaurant. During the winter, dinner is served Monday-Thursday.

Do you have a children's menu?

Yes, we have dishes specially adapted for children on our summer menu.

Can you organize celebrations as a birthday or anniversary?

Yes, with us you can celebrate big and small. Email info@bjorkbacken.se for a personal quote based on your wishes.

Can you buy take-away from the restaurant?

Yes, it is possible to buy food from us. However, we do not offer home delivery of food.

Is there a drink package or wine list?

We do not have a drink package for our dinner, but we do have a wine list and recommended wines for all our dishes on the menu.

What is included in the breakfast buffet?

We have a classic Swedish breakfast buffet with cold and hot dishes as well as gluten-, lactose- and dairy-free options. Rolls, cold cuts, fruit, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, sour cream and yogurt with cereal, juice, coffee and many other favorites.

Are there lactose or dairy-free alternatives?

Yes, we have alternatives for those who do not eat lactose or milk with us. Talk to our staff in the restaurant and they will help you.

 

Grodis Water Playground

What dates and times is Grodis open?

Grodis is open 9.00-21.00 until 18/8.

Do you need to buy a swimband separately?

Yes, entrance to the water playground is not included in any of our accommodations. However, we do offer our guests a discount on their swim bands.

Is the water playground/playground included for hotel guests?

No, the water playground is not included in the price of your accommodation. However, we do offer our guests a discount on their swim bands. The regular playground is open to everyone.

Are there changing rooms and showers?

Yes, there are changing rooms and showers.

Can I bring my own food or bath toys?

No, unfortunately you can't.

Is the water playground suitable for young children?

Yes, it is! The pools have a minimum depth of 30cm and a maximum depth of 1 meter.

Is there shade and seating around Grodis?

Yes, there is.

How deep are the pools?

All 4 pools have a minimum depth of 30cm and a maximum depth of 1 meter.

Are there lifeguards or staff on site?

No, there are no lifeguards on site.

Can you rent towels or bath toys?

Yes, towels are available for rent on site, toys can be bought at Cajsas & Lovisas.

No, unfortunately not.

It is possible to pay by card, but unfortunately not Swish.

Yes, there is.

Do you have ice cream and coffee for children?

Yes, we offer both ice cream and other goodies that are suitable for children.

Do you sell basic goods for campers? (e.g. milk, charcoal?)

Yes, we sell basic goods for campers at Cajsas & Lovisas.

Is there coffee and tea all day?

Yes, it does!

Do you have Wi-Fi also in the café?

Yes we have Wi-Fi throughout the area.
