The restaurant
The restaurant is characterized by care, creativity and the joy of food. Our cooking is rustic, but also modern and to some extent influenced by international gastronomy. What we strive for in our restaurant is quality of ingredients, taste, season and the guest's wishes. That the food is cooked from scratch is a matter of course for us. That way the food tastes best and you always know what you get. The experience we want to offer through our cooking is something we are proud of!
Water playground
Next to the hotel and accommodation complex is the Grodis water playground, which is open to the public. In the water playground there are four temperate pools with a minimum depth of 30 cm and a maximum depth of 1 meter. There are figures that spray water, bubble functions and several small slides. The pools hold about 23 degrees celsius. Guests staying with us during the summer have the opportunity to buy discounted entrance tickets, which can be purchased at the hotel reception or in our online booking.
A hotel that tells a story
In our hotel, we have created a unique environment where characters who lived in Vimmerby when Astrid Lindgren was young come back to life. Each room tells a story and is adorned with pictures of these people who inspired her stories. In the corridors there are installations, the restaurant is decorated with a wall painting with all the characters, and special made paintings to enhance the experience.
